As a full-service public relations agency, KidStuff PR handles traditional media placements with magazines, newspapers, and television. The agency also has experience with event coordination, product placement, celebrity gifting and coaching company representatives for appearances.

Non-traditional media including websites, blogs, and social media sites are becoming increasingly influential, and KidStuff PR monitors the trends to ensure clients are using them to their benefit. Five years ago, when most people weren’t even sure what a blog was, KidStuff PR was one of the first agencies to work with “mommy” bloggers on product reviews and giveaways. Today, the agency has a dynamic list of 150+ highly vetted bloggers, broken down by topic and closely monitored for both review quality and blog readership. As a testament to the agency’s leadership in social media work, Orman was honored with the first-ever Women In Toys Social Networker Award in 2010.

The average length of time retainer clients work with us is 4-6 years. We do also work with project-based clients, or start-ups companies with a finite and defined amount of money budgeted for PR and they can’t invest beyond that, often because of investors’ stipulations. Here are a few examples of how longtime clients have developed by working with KidStuff PR:
Over the past six years, HABA has become a well-established brand in the U.S. that consumers ask for and retailers actively seek out. They have been a KidStuff PR client since February 2004. In the past year alone, HABA has appeared in:
  • 34 national magazines including recognition as FamilyFun, Babytalk and American Baby Toys of the Year in holiday issues
  • 39 of the top websites including DailyCandy, Cool Mom Picks, OhDeeDoh, CafeMom, Aol’s ParentDish and iVillage
  • 92 vetted and reputable blogs... plus they’ve appeared in dozens of newspapers, regional family magazines, and on national and local television
Prime Time Toys’ products are in millions of U.S. households, yet no one knew the Hong Kong-based company’s name. And competitors have copied the company’s patented products repeatedly, and are engaging in their own PR programs. Prime Time hired KidStuff PR to raise its profile and help establish its position as the original, and in a short six months, the company has been splashed in national magazines, several national and local TV news shows, newspapers, regional magazines and big websites like Daily Candy.

Because of company policies, the company reviews its PR needs and how we are meeting them annually, and each year has renewed our contract for the last three years and going forward for 2011. It’s a Hong Kong-based company with external contractors to run its marketing and sales operations in the U.S., and these contractors were tasked with searching for, hiring and managing a PR agency. They conducted a thorough review and told us they felt very confident after such an exhaustive process that they had found the best partner. We want to make the US managers look good for the Hong Kong owners who entrusted this investment with them!
Marshmallow Fun’s active and light-hearted products have been recently featured on CNN, CBS show The Big Bang Theory, The Early Show, Live! with Regis and Kelly, and The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson and The Atlantic magazine.
CitiBlocs started with us in April 2009, after Toy Fair 2009. So far, they have won 30 (!) industry awards and have been on the TODAY show three (!) times. Their blocks were the cover of the Good Housekeeping gift guide, and lauded as one of Parenting magazine’s Best Toys, among other amazing first-year placements. The owner is based in France and uses independent contractors and agencies in the US for creative, advertising, sales, warehouse/distribution, and, PR. We are one of the cogs in this machine and it’s important for her that we are independent and trustworthy to work hard and produce results with her being so far removed.
