Lisa Orman
President and Founder

President Lisa Orman established KidStuff Public Relations in 1994 out of her home near Madison, Wis., after securing the public relations account for Zany Brainy. Recently a mom herself, she knew the importance of being able to understand children and assembled a team of moms (and a dad) with experience in public relations, and more importantly—parenting. Orman used her past experiences as a writer for the Des Moines Register, Wall Street Journal, Newsweek and USA Today to give her a better understanding of when, why and how to successfully pitch to a reporter.

This knowledge helped her form relationships as a publicist with reporters who found her familiarity and respect for the process a breath of fresh air. Along with her experience as a journalist, Orman also spent time as a retail and media strategic marketing consultant, traveling the world to see and learn about the best retail concepts and best consumer messaging techniques in the marketplace. Her experiences as a mother, journalist, and consultant come together to offer KidStuff PR clients top-notch support and results.

KidStuff PR takes a light-hearted approach to writing, but Orman takes seriously the job of providing reporters with stories about the best products and services for children and families. Every month, she receives dozens of calls from prospective clients but only takes clients for whom she has a true passion, since it helps her do a better job, try harder, and makes work more enjoyable. She has been awarded many recognitions in her field and in the industry, notably the only person to receive two Women In Toys awards; in 2008 for best Consultant, and in 2010 for Online Social Networker.

Marsha Peltz
Writer

Philadelphia-based Marsha Peltz is an award-winning publicist who's promoted everything from Amoco Oil to Zany Brainy. Whether its casinos, toys, festivals or retail, she's able to strike the right tone and deliver clients' messages with impact for over 20 years. And she does it in a cost efficient manner -- even on a shoe-string budget! The results are priceless because you can't buy a TV interview or newspaper story. If you could -- that would be advertising!

The Philadelphia Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) awarded Marsha its 2003 Pepperpot for Best Independent Practitioner -- one of six PR trophies she's proudly taken home over the years.

Marsha started her career as a newspaper reporter. In the 1980s she was Atlantic City's youngest casino PR director, promoting everything from Mickey Mantle to middle-of-the-night jackpot winners. She started producing TV specials at 6ABC, while handling over 100 headliners annually as Valley Forge Music Fair's press agent. In the 1990s, she added a personal life and moved to the Philadelphia suburbs where she juggled babies and Fortune 500 clients for the big ad agencies. More recently she's struck the right balance of lively clients and two growing boys where carpooling and carphone conference calls can blissfully get everyone where they need to be!

Ronald Solomon
Writer

Ronald Solomon has written and created award-winning and commercially successful scripts and products in a number of mediums including, television, theater, music and the retail market. So when he pens a press release, he’s coming at it from a very creative, understanding and experienced place. Plus, he's coming at it from a Dad's point of view; something we value here at KidStuff PR! Ron is the proud father of two sons.

From 2000 to the present, Solomon has successfully created and distributed his own line of award-winning toys, games and children's books for the “tween” market. Through his company, Swingset Press, LLC, Solomon has forged a successful commercial niche in the specialty toy, gift, book, girls’ apparel, catalog and e-commerce markets. His company and products have received publicity (actually, from its time as a previous KidStuff PR client, which is how Ron and Lisa got to know each other!) in such high-profile, national venues as The Rosie O’Donnell Show, Radio Disney, AOL’s “Kid’s On Line”, InStyle Magazine, The Today Show, New York Magazine, Working Mother, Parenting and YM (Young & Modern), and more.

Prior to forming Swingset Press, Solomon spent over 20 years in the television industry. Beginning in 1987, he worked with NBC to create the highly successful "TNBC" block of programming. He worked as a writer/producer and writer/co-executive producer on such award-winning series as "Saved By The Bell," "California Dreams" (created by Ron for NBC), and "Hang Time." Additionally, he wrote dozens of freelance scripts (produced) and original television pilots for Fred Silverman, UPN, The Disney Channel, and FOX Television.
