COOP Develops Flippin’ Fun Game In A Portable Case At Toy Fair Booth 4901
Virginia Beach, VA (February 13, 2017) – For those that carry the hand-eye coordination gene, challenges like skee ball, a hole-in-one and Ultimate Frisbee never cease to amaze mere mortals. The newest craze requiring a perfectly timed flick of the wrist is the Bottle Flip. COOP, makers of active lifestyle products, launches the ultimate Bottle Flip ($39.99) packaged game at Booth 4901 at American International Toy Fair.
Anyone surfing YouTube or catching Lebron James toss a half-filled water bottle during the Cleveland Cavaliers conquest over the New York Knicks knows the challenge is fun and fun to watch. From Madison Square Gardens to middle school cafeterias, anyone can attempt to flip and hope for a smooth landing. You just need a semi-filled plastic bottle and a flat surface.
COOP wraps up all the elements in a portable package that’s perfect for tailgating, picnics or family outings. The theory is simple. Flip the plastic bottle in the air so it lands standing up.
As Dan Shanoff of espnW.com recently described, “whether you are doing pick up at soccer practice, sitting on the sidelines at games or possibly just minding your own business in the house, if there is a plastic bottle nearby with, say, a quarter of its liquid still left in it, undoubtedly your kid or their friends have picked it up, held it by its top and flicked it out, attempting to ‘flip’ it so that it delivers a Simone Biles-level ‘stick-the-landin’ on the floor or tabletop.”
In COOP’s version of the Bottle Flip, players open the portable kit to reveal a base, table leg and flat table top with an embedded scoring circle. Assemble the four pieces and get ready to toss. Each player takes a turn to attempt to flip the enclosed plastic bottle upright onto the table. Three raised scoring circles easily identify whether the flipper earns 1, 2 or 3 points (or none at all!). Once a player earns 7 points, they need to step further away from the table to increase the difficulty. Repeat once 14 points are achieved. Winner is called when 21 points is reached.
