Pssst! Identity Games Knows Where Wally (aka Waldo) Is! Hint: Start Your Hunt At Toy Fair Booth 6865
Snohomish, WA (February 8, 2017) “Can you find it?” kids will soon be asking as they go on a family-friendly treasure hunt for Captain Underpants, Sesame Street Jr. characters and even Animal Jam members without leaving their chair. The excitement is building for the 2017 collection of Find It® Games ($19.95), contained adventures in a tall clear tube. Five new titles including Crystal will be added to this clever series that’s portable and perfect for every member of the family.
Parent company Identity Games launches four new licenses and a Crystal edition at Booth 6865 at the American International Toy Fair. Finding just the right theme is key as these best sellers – over 120,000 sold in 2016 – need to appeal to kids, parents, kids-at-heart, teachers and even therapists. Everyone has their own method of twisting, spinning, shaking or tapping the filled container of hidden items.
New for 2017 is Where’s Wally, the British children’s books series known in the U.S. as Where’s Waldo. English artist Martin Handford required his readers to find a character named Wally hidden on a busily illustrated page. Wally’s distinctive red-and-white-striped shirt, knit cap and glasses made him slightly easy to find. That same focus and concentration is needed in the Where’s Wally Find It Game.
Another children’s books series, Captain Underpants, returns as a Find It Game filled with characters from the whimsical storyline. The Captain is also scheduled as a major motion picture in June 2017. Sesame Street Jr. characters including Big Bird, Elmo and Ernie fill up a Find It container with larger-than-usual pieces. It makes spotting a yellow rubber duckie just a little easier!
What will not be easier is the 2017 Crystal edition. Every pellet and each findable item is transparent or crystal clear. This Find It Game boasts the most challenging edition, ever. Focus and concentration are critical elements to mastering this game. Marbles the Brainstore has already placed its order!
Is there an Animal Jam fan in the house? The National Geographic online game believes pets are pawsome! Monkey, Panda, Penguin and Koala can be found, among dozens of two legged and four legged pals, inside each Animal Jam Find It cylinder.
Zeroing in on one item requires all ages and abilities to stop and focus. The National Lekotek Center has judged Find It Games to be top-rated for its AblePlay™ toy rating. AblePlay was created so parents, friends, family members, educators, therapists and others could make the best decisions when purchasing products for children in their lives, especially children with special needs. Find It Games receives toy industry honors each year but AblePlay is its most cherished.
For those unfamiliar with the games, every version of Find It requires items to be discovered. All are listed on top of the container for easy reference. Some are easy to find; others a bit harder. Handle the container anyway that’s comfortable to spot the hidden items – in alphabetical order, smallest to largest, fastest to slowest, etc. It sounds easy, but it’s a challenge and that’s what makes them so fun!
