Hot Diggity! The Ouch From Dodgeball Has Been Erased!
Virginia Beach, VA (June 9, 2017) – When playing a friendly round of Scatter Dodgeball™ by COOP Sports, participants as young as 5 years old collect wristbands, shared at the start of the game. Designed for two to six players, each player gets two wristbands of the same color. One player rolls the dice to determine the thrower: the player whose wristband matches the color that lands face-up on the dice is the thrower for that turn. As the rest of the players scatter, the thrower tries to “hit” them with the dodgeball. The players who get hit give a wristband to the thrower. But if the targeted player catches the ball, the thrower must give a wristband to the catcher. The first person to get all the wristbands wins. The game is easy to learn and encourages many ways to improvise play. Our testers reported that more players meant more fun and best played with those of similar ages.
The official review by The National Parenting Center noted how parents recalled the “whacks” of their own dodgeball memories. Moms and dads were delighted in this kinder version of the classic backyard game.

Looking for a new twist on the classic game of dodgeball? Gather up two to six players and hand out two wristbands of the same color. Players circle-up while one player rolls the dice. The player wearing the colored wristbands that match the color face-up on the dice — as it comes to rest — is the thrower for that turn. As the other players scatter, the thrower attempts to hit the player wearing the matching color wrist bands with the dodgeball. Players that get hit must surrender a wristband to the thrower. If the targeted player catches the ball, the thrower must surrender a wristband. The first person to get all the wristbands wins the game!
