Westport, CT (October 1, 2026) – Jasey’s Toy Chest, the family-founded maker of wooden toys for young children, announced today that its On-the-Go Wooden Workbench has been named a winner in Good Housekeeping’s 2026 Toy Awards within the Baby & Toddler category.
“To be recognized by Good Housekeeping, a name families have trusted for generations, is an incredible honor for a company in its very first year,” said Brian Bernstein, Founder and CEO of Jasey’s Toy Chest. “We pour so much care into making toys that are built to last and full of play value, and to have that recognized by the Good Housekeeping Institute means the world to our family.”
The On-the-Go Wooden Workbench is a 23-piece wooden activity set for children 12 months and up. It starts as a sturdy push-walker for little ones taking their first steps, then grows into a hands-on workbench with a shape sorter, turning gears, a movable clock, and wooden pretend-play tools. Like all Jasey’s toys, it is screen-free and made from FSC®-certified materials. And like everything Jasey’s makes, it is designed to build the early skills and confidence that lay a foundation for children’s development, the heart of the family’s mission to support youth mental health through play.

About Jasey’s Toy Chest
At Jasey’s Toy Chest, we believe in the power of magical moments, the kind that grow through open-ended play, joyful learning, and heartfelt connection. This brand was created in loving memory of our son Jason (“Jasey”), who filled our home with creativity, adventure, and joy. His toy chest was a daily treasure hunt of blocks, puzzles, instruments, costumes, and dinosaurs, worlds of his own making. Our toys are a tribute to those memories, and to supporting youth mental health, a cause deeply personal to our family. Drawing on decades of toy industry experience, we make screen-free toys designed to build skills, nurture confidence, and create lasting memories.
Built for Magical Moments. Made for a Lifetime of Memories.
