When we first set out to change PR Companies for our small business, it was EXTREMELY important to us to have a Company that was involved in our industry. Being a small fish in a vast ocean of the toy industry, there were a few things, we felt we MUST have in common with the PR Company we pick. At first meeting, Lisa Orman, owner of KidStuff PR, hit on two of our MUST haves, immediately. I was delightfully enthused and hopefully optimistic that we had found the one. Something as simple as having someone say, “We like to put fun and whimsy in our content we present to the consumer,” was incredibly important to us. The next was, having the owner so vested in their Company that, that was the person you were going to deal with on a day-to-day basis.

KidStuff PR did come recommended by people we have crossed paths or know in the toy industry, but nothing helps better than hearing from actual clients. We were lucky to have one of the bigger toy shows, ASTRA right around the corner when we had started this process. So, I set out at ASTRA to find all their current clients and have a chat, face to face. It proved to be beneficial, not only did I learn more about who they are and what they do. I learned about Lisa’s involvement in the toy industry for so many years outside of her PR Company. It was refreshing to learn that her and her team were more than just a PR Company, their roots dug deeper into the toy industry. That, along with her current client’s feedback, which was glowing. We jumped in feet first and have not been disappointed!! The guidance, the knowledge of her team, Matt & Marsha, her role in the toy industry, all these things have been a homerun! I also look forward to seeing what is on the horizon for us!
