This year, we launched five new preschool games for Adventerra Games, including Hungry Bins: Learn to Recycle. During COVID, photography sessions with kids weren’t happening and we needed lifestyle shots for this launch. We decided to partner with influencers to capture the fun of these games, and realized to our dismay that virtually all of our influencer families were white. We set about studying how and why this happened, reached out to 50 families of color who we had declined to work with because their numbers didn’t meet our minimum requirements, and mentored them to improve their channels. They delivered great photos to our specifications that are now used by our client’s sales team, on the company’s ecommerce website and on social media channels so customers can see why moms value these games that build environmental awareness for their families. It was a win-win-win! Now, many other companies and PR agencies are working with these influencers and we couldn’t be happier to see them grow!
