Gift Hunters Looking High and Low for Toys that Satisfy a Squishy Fix Need Look No Further Than these Masters of the Craft
Vernon, CA (August 19, 2026) – If you’ve been paying any attention to toy trends this year, then you know this holiday season is likely to be categorized by “squishy fever.” While this phenomenon is viral, there’s no illness involved! Squishy toys have seen a meteoric rise in demand from both kids and young adults alike, and as a result, parents are doling out precious allowance money for a squish toy fix or going on the hunt through retail stores themselves. In fact, according to a market research report conducted by Circana, the U.S. toy industry has seen a 13 percent growth from January to April compared with the same period last year, an acceleration driven in large part by squishy toys, which have specifically recorded triple-digit growth! To help quell the inevitable, insatiable demand this holiday season, Master Toys has been diligently bolstering their selection of satisfying tactile toys that will scratch that squish product itch!
For the quintessential Master Toys tactile toy, and a perfect entry point to their squishy suite of products seek out the QUBE ($5.99 | Ages 3+). QUBE is a perfectly pliable, rounded cube translucent enough to see your palm while holding it! Squish, stretch, manipulate, and watch it slowly morph back into shape, the QUBE is an excellent choice for customers on the hunt for trendy squish toys. The classic QUBE comes in four bright and trendy colors – Bright Pink, Cerulean Blue, Chartreuse Green, and Lavender Purple. And of course, Master Toys has developed special, limited-edition Christmas QUBEs ($5.99 | Ages 3+) to celebrate the holiday season. These unique QUBEs have a colorless, translucent base but are packed to the nines with a myriad of holiday-themed goodies inside, like multicolored red and green confetti, plus charms shaped like snowflakes, reindeer, snowmen, Christmas trees and more. Look for three assorted styles of Christmas QUBEs launching this holiday: Red Confetti, Green Confetti, and Pure Charm styles!
If you love squishy toys with particulates inside, then you’re going to love DRIP ($5.99 | Ages 3+) by Master Toys. Shaped like a curved teardrop with a frilled splash effect base, these squishies are ergonomically shaped to help you play, all while admiring the wealth of glitter and shiny confetti molded within. Grab the wide base with one hand and stretch the narrow end with your other to instantly be mesmerized by the gleaming, shifting patterns. Then twist, bend, fold and spread to your heart’s delight and be hypnotized as the particles swoosh all around. Feast your eyes on the gleaming sparkles! Best of all, DRIP naturally morphs back into its default shape when left alone, letting you restart the squishy fun again and again. Look out for four colors of DRIP – Light Pink, Light Blue, Light Green and Light Purple.
Gumdrops are an iconic holiday treat, which makes DROP ($5.99 | Ages 3+) the perfect stocking-stuffer for fans of tactile toys. A cousin to QUBE and DRIP, DROP brings the super satisfying squish-based play you can expect from Master Toys, but with an added textural dimension. DROPs are not only shaped like a giant gumdrop, but they also simulate the texture of the classic candy as well. Dense and super bumpy, just sliding your fingers over a DROP is a delight for sensory toy connoisseurs, but the real fun begins when you squash and stretch the DROP and feel the texture transform in real time. This extremely versatile sensory toy has endless play potential and comes in four appealing and saturated colors – Hot Pink, Bright Teal, Lime Green, and Fuchsia Purple.
Gag presents make for perfect stocking-stuffers; there’s nothing quite like giving the gift of laughter as your family member unwraps a silly toy and cracks up at the sight of it. But this gag gift will go beyond a one-time laugh and is sure to keep the gift recipient busy for hours on end! Master Toys has flexed their sense of humor in designing the perfect silly gift: Big Dill Squishy Pickle ($4.49 | Ages 3+). Big Dill was made for squishin’, and that’s just what it’ll do. Green, bumpy and oblong, Big Dill’s most unique characteristic are his eyes, a feature that 99.99% pickles lack! Super stretchy, satisfyingly tactile, and extremely sturdy, Big Dill is sure to be a hit with silly kids or that one goofy uncle (we all have one).
For a gift that’s not quite as zany but nevertheless full of quirky humor, bequeath unto your family and friends a Slow Rise Butter ($8.49 | Ages 3+) squish toy. Be sure not to leave it unattended on the kitchen counter, this squishy both looks and smells just like a stick of butter. Rectangular and smooth for easy gripping and squashing, it’s plenty of fun to simply compress it as much as you can against a firm surface and watch it sloooowly rise back into its default rectangular shape.
Friends with office jobs will love to display this at their desk and squish it when the going gets tough. You won’t believe it’s not butter!

Give the Gift of Enriching Playtime for Babies and a Cohesive Living Space for Parents, All at the Same Time!
Austin, TX (July 29, 2026) – Fall and Winter babies are in for a treat this holiday season, as are their newfound parents, when friends and family search for gifts from Playcor, the independent toy company founded by interior designer and mother Courtney Smithee. Playcor offers a thoughtfully designed range of toys for babies and toddlers with a very unique aesthetic unlike anything else in the market. Smithee’s inspiration for Playcor was born from her desire to provide her daughter with joyful playtime and imaginative toys, but somehow preserve her own thoughtful design sensibilities for her living space. Playcor’s toys hit that perfect sweet spot – visually pleasing, but not compromising on the most important part: the fun factor! Featuring subdued colors and elegant design elements, conscientious parents can offer their children engaging and enriching playtime without the characteristic clashy look of super brightly-colored kids toys. Who needs a toy chest when your child’s toys look so good?
If scrutinizing gift-givers need assurances that Playcor’s wares are the real deal, look no further than the National Parenting Product Awards (NAPPAs), who’s parent product testers were very impressed with their entire collection! Of particular note is the pretend play value of the Large Play and Display Book ($42.00). One enthusiastic parent reviewer wrote, “The magnetic camping scene was an immediate hit, especially with my 4-year-old who is big into pretend play right now. The watercolor artwork is magical, and the magnet designs are charming. She enjoyed arranging the magnetic pieces on the scene backdrop and coming up with conversations between the little people.” While closed, this innocuous book appears like a canvas-textured coffee table decoration, but inside is a magnetic playset with 20 set-pieces including characters, camping gear and more where kids can create their own narratives through open-ended play. For even more cleverly obscured play, Playcor’s Flashcard Faux Coffee Table Book ($32.00) also disguises itself as a display book, but includes stationary flashcards with shapes and numbers, plus a hidden storage compartment for common living room items like pens or remotes. Storage, décor, and toy all in one!
Every sensible coffee table needs coasters, which make them an excellent gift for those who are hard to buy for. Everyone can use coasters! Thankfully, Playcor’s Stack and Learn Coasters ($25.00) continue the company’s trend of toys that serve dual purposes of visual flourish and play power. These curved, concave coasters can be stacked for either storage or play, and on the base of each one are shapes and numbers that reinforce learning play for young kiddos. Made from 100% food-grade silicone, these sensible coasters bring satisfying sensory and learning play while offering a genuinely handy utility to your living space.
For parents with younger babies, there’s plenty of sensory play toys to enjoy from Playcor. The Scalloped Rattle Bowl ($25.00) is also crafted from 100% food-grade silicone, making it safe for investigative nibbling, and the gentle internal rattle further encourages sensory play. The ridged design deals double duty with both form and function, looking pleasant on a living room table, and making it easy for little hands to grip solidly. Another NAPPA parent reviewer remarked, “It’s basically one of those bowls that you throw keys of your wallet into. The swirled design makes it look like a marble bowl, but it’s made with the same food-grade silicone so it’s safe for kids. There is some kind of sand or something in the base that makes a soothing sound when you shake. I could see babies fascinated by this and also enjoying the feel of the scalloped edges.”
Playcor’s Wooden Sensory Balls ($30.00) are a perfect companion product, nestling perfectly within the scalloped bowl and acting as a sculptural set-piece for the room when not in use. But as soon as baby wants to play, they can gently investigate the smooth dimples surrounding ball 1, spin the hemispheres round and round on ball 2, and use the ridges of ball 3 to twist and open the velcro holding it together to reveal a small mirror inside. In early 2026, the Scalloped Rattle Bowl and Wooden Sensory Balls as a pair won the Mom’s Choice Awards Gold Award, their highest honor! For an alternate pairing possibility with the bowl, the 5 Chain Link Teether ($22.00) offers another option for gentle teething play; this chain is soft on gums yet sturdily crafted to withstand any devastation a baby can inflict. The smooth textured finish offers a soothing tactile experience that will pacify as much as it will excite.
And the best part for gift-hunters: Playcor toys, despite being boutique store quality, are also budget-friendly! So many of their offerings have prices that are very affordable considering their play value and thoughtful toy engineering.
So remember, for any new parents with impeccable décor, consider doing your holiday gift shopping with Playcor. For as great as they look, Playcor products truly shine once they’re in-hands, big or small! To learn even more about their full collection and get a head start on holiday shopping, visit Playcor.com.
At Playcor, every piece is carefully crafted with durable materials, minimal yet charming color palettes, and thoughtful details, perfect for little hands to explore. We believe that when children engage with toys that encourage both curiosity and imagination, they learn to see the world in new ways. And when parents see these toys thoughtfully arranged on shelves or coffee tables, they feel a renewed sense of peace and pride in their home décor.

The included story cards are a really nice touch too.”
Olympia Dolls have even received TV coverage, courtesy of Speech-Language Pathologist and CEO of Play On Words Erika Cardamone, as she appeared on PHL17 TV! Having just won their Play On Words’ PAL Award, Erika sung the praises of the doll collection just in time for Women’s History Month in March 2026. “I love this [collection], because females have been at the center of our stories for centuries and really developing our culture – what better way to show that than with Greek mythology?”

Moorestown, NJ (July 10, 2026) – Who better to develop high-caliber music to be appreciated by kids, than a kid? Meet Aaria, a classically trained pianist and vocalist who already has a full album release under her belt! Aaria has been practicing piano since the tender age of 3, composing her own music since age 5, and headlining concerts with a band internationally since she was 7 years old. Having been raised in both New Jersey and Montreal, Aaria draws inspiration from the distinct culture and character inherent to both homes and infuses her interests in the arts and natural world into her original music. In addition to being a highly skilled musician at such an early age, Aaria is also a young scientist, mathematician and competitive chess player. Her love of the arts and dedication to her craft has earned her well-deserved accolades and renown. A true renaissance girl, Aaria has cultivated an avid following across her socials, currently reaching over 250,000 followers across Instagram and TikTok, with her latest music video surpassing 330,000 views.
From classics to originals, Aaria’s repertoire includes an eclectic range of genres and musical compositions as part of her larger group Band Wildlife, which is on Spotify. Her debut album Feel the Light released back in 2023 at age 9 and remastered with her involvement in the indie production studio at age 11, employs a mix of sounds spanning pop, classical, rock and world music to create songs with a feel unlike anything else. Through this album release, Aaria stands out as one of the youngest bandleaders and primary songwriters to release a full debut album comprised primarily of original compositions, in the history of modern music. Exploring themes of sustainability, nature, and a deep appreciation both for what the natural world provides for us and for its latent beauty, and with accompanying music videos, Feel the Light is a superb album for anyone to enjoy, but especially children with minds eager to learn and grow. Feel the Light has been reviewed favorably as a genre-bending innovative album by a multitude of professional music critics with accompanying feature article coverage in the national music media (link to media section of website). Now, Aaria is developing even more music, with a new single – an original classical piano composition — set for release in mid-2026! With this release of original classical music at age 12, Aaria finds herself in an even more rarified – if not singularly unique – group of musicians.
When not writing original songs, practicing music or competing in chess matches, Aaria finds time to perform live concerts which include a mix of rock and pop shows, piano compositions and vocal performances. At a recent classical concert, viewers were treated to Aaria’s rendition of Chopin’s Nocturne Op. 9 No. 2, as well as the live pre-release debut of her own original classical song titled Three Mornings in Westmount. She also took full advantage of her skills as a polyglot, singing the well-known Italian classic La Serenata, as well as Con te Partirò, famously performed by fellow vocalist Andrea Bocelli. In addition to live concerts, Aaria also posts musical performances and helpful lessons in music, science and math as options to music for other children on her YouTube channel and other socials. From technical issues like key transposition to covers and original song performances, Aaria’s content acts as both resource and entertainment for musically inclined kids looking for a helpful and knowledgeable peer on their own artistic journey.
Eager fans and followers of Aaria’s already storied career should keep their eyes on her socials on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and TikTok for news on songs dropping later this year. For more information about Aaria, her achievements, music catalog and much more, visit her official website at https://aariaworldmusic.com/.

Los Angeles, CA (July 9, 2026) – Attendees at San Diego Comic Con this year are in for a treat as legendary toy designer and concept artist Howard “Quiggly” Chang is set to debut an all-new passion project – a series of toys fully designed from the ground up through his toy company Glorius Inc. The Ancientz series of figures is Chang’s original collectible IP, which reimagines biblical characters into an awesome, mysterious and mechanical aesthetic. Their robotic designs possess a character that bridges the line between art toy and action figure, with captivating painted and sculpted detail and sleek forms which are alien yet appealing. From origins as a Kickstarter project with each and every figure hand-painted and assembled by Chang himself, Ancientz has seen an initial public retail release at the top of 2026, with a wider debut of Ancientz Chapter 1 set for SDCC. Glorius Inc. couldn’t be more excited to share Ancientz with SDCC 2026 attendees this July 23–26 at the San Diego Convention Center, Booth #5023!
Howard “Quiggly” Chang is a toy titan with a remarkable origin story. While looking for a summer job in the early 90’s in the months before starting college, Varner Studios took a chance on him as a Mold Maker. From an intern at 18 years old, Chang eventually rose to the rank of Lead Designer over the years, where he would make a name for himself designing hundreds of classic Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles figures beloved by collectors and fans worldwide. Chang’s work all but defined the radically cool aesthetic of the TMNT toy line that is considered so iconic to this day. Today, Glorius Inc. is operating under the Varner Studios brand to launch Ancientz, bringing Chang’s story full circle and acting as a springboard for a new era in his legendary career.
Set in a near- future world on the precipice of collapse, Ancientz adapts characters from biblical stories that have inspired countless people throughout history. David and Goliath, Noah, Joshua, Rahab, Gideon, Deborah, and Sisera have all been reimagined as robotic sci-fi beings – their spirits reawakened into a time far ahead of their own. Bringing a very personal level of craft into this project, Chang synthesizes his skills cultivated over a long career at Varner Studios, plus his own creative vision to reiterate on these long-established and larger-than-life characters. Featuring sharp sculpted detail, extremely clean paint application, sleek sci-fi aesthetics and a hollow head sporting a light-up feature which makes the eyes and translucent hair ethereally glow, Ancientz have a powerful visual identity unlike any other collectible currently available. Ancientz exude an inimitable energy that nonetheless promises to have incredibly wide appeal and speak to everyone from mass-market collectors to fashion enthusiasts and even fans of gaming, film and animation.
The first manufactured series of Ancientz dubbed “Chapter 1” will feature extremely limited editions of Mini Ancientz available exclusively at SDCC 2026! Alpha Edition figures are unique, hand-crafted and painted pieces made by Chang himself and are available on the Ancientz website, with a very limited selection of in-person samples available at the Ancientz SDCC booth. Alpha Edition figures are non-duplicatable, so each one is wholly unique! Curious collectors also have a bite-size and accessible entry point into the Ancientz universe with Ancientz Nanos, which first debuted at WonderCon in March 2026 – blind bag mini collectibles that are small, detailed, and oh-so collectible. All Ancientz collectibles are also NFC-enabled!
Curious floor-goers at San Diego Comic Con should mark Booth #5023 on their maps to come visit Varner Studios and Glorius Inc. to be among the first in the world to experience the incredibly unique charm of Ancientz firsthand. Lucky attendees will have the opportunity to acquire limited edition Mini Ancientz sold exclusively at SDCC 2026 to commemorate their visit and the official launch of the Ancientz brand! For more information on Ancientz, including original, hand-crafted Alpha Edition figures from Howard “Quiggly” Chang himself, visit https://ancientz.com/.

Ancientz is an original collectible IP created by Howard “Quiggly” Chang — taking characters whose stories have inspired billions across thousands of years and reimagining them with bold sci-fi sculptural design, built to expand across premium collectibles, mass-market toys, fashion, and media including animation, gaming, and film. Varner Studios — known for character-driven design and foundational work on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and other iconic lines — is reborn as a creator and retailer of limited-edition art toys and character-driven collectibles, now operated by Glorius Inc.
